Winter Arrangement –
a weekend to disappear into.
When frost makes the valley quieter, the loveliest time begins indoors. Use the cold season for what often gets lost in everyday life: true stillness, time together, and warmth that comes from within.
This arrangement is our invitation to withdraw completely for a weekend – far from schedules and obligations.

Natural Escape –
three days between forest and stillness.
Sometimes a weekend is not enough. Sometimes it takes three nights to truly let go – to trade the rhythm of everyday life for the rhythm of nature.
Morning light through the trees, Jean-Paul's kitchen in the evening, and in between: nothing you have to do. Everything you're free to.
This arrangement gives you time: time for walks, time for warmth, and time to come home to yourself.

Advent at the Löffelmühle –
the quiet season. Lived with intention.
When the days grow shorter and the first frost settles over the valley, the loveliest time of year begins at the Löffelmühle. The scent of mulled wine and gingerbread, the crackle of the fire, the warmth of candlelight.
A weekend to pause. To feel the anticipation before the bustle begins. To experience Advent the way it was once meant to be: reflective, warm, with time for each other.

Easter at the Löffelmühle –
when spring awakens.
The first warm rays of sun, the tender green of buds, birdsong in the morning. Easter is a time of new beginnings – and nowhere do you feel it more clearly than here in the valley, as nature slowly stirs.
Four days to welcome spring. To sit together at the table while Jean-Paul brings the season to the plate. To pause and sense that something new is beginning.

The season of fresh green – an Ascension stay devoted to beer
In early May, the beeches above the Elz valley are at their brightest green, and the banks of the stream smell of wild garlic. The Elz still runs high with spring water and circles the grounds in its wide loop; the Ouessant sheep graze in the tall grass, the donkeys stand in the shade.
Over the four days of Ascension, Jean-Paul builds his menus around a companion seen at the table less often than wine: beer. From champagne beer to wheat and dark beers to a sweet dessert beer, the range is wide – and the dishes rise to meet it. Salzburg beer soup, zander in wheat beer sauce, duck cassoulet with dark beer, mushroom ragout, Belgian beer cheese, beer ice cream. Expect a few surprises.

Whitsun at the Löffelmühle –
the first breath of summer.
At the end of May, the Eifel is in full bloom. It is the time when life moves outdoors: into our garden, to the banks of the Elz, into the sun.
Use the long Whitsun weekend to bid farewell to spring and welcome summer. Jean-Paul celebrates this transition with a light, sun-filled cuisine – from cool waters to lush pastures.

When the elder blossoms along the banks of the Elz – a Corpus Christi stay in the spirit of Hildegard of Bingen
At the end of May, the elder blossoms on the banks of the Elz, and woodruff grows beneath the beeches. In the garden, Roland cuts the first herbs, the hens sit in the shade in the afternoon, and the sheep look for the cool side of the meadow. In the stream, light dapples the water between the stones. At Corpus Christi, we are guests of Hildegard of Bingen: Jean-Paul cooks in her spirit with what grows and swims here – trout and pike, fennel, spelt and herbs, all gently cooked.

Today I bake, tomorrow I roast – a stay in the world of fairy tales
At the end of October, mist hangs over the Elz in the mornings and only lifts towards midday. Wet leaves cover the paths, the Eifel forests smell of earth and mushrooms, and by five the candles are already lit in the house. In our families, a candle is lit for the departed on 1 November – for us, a time when this world and the next, myths and legends, sit side by side. These three nights take you into another world: the world of fairy tales, with Jean-Paul's Cuisine des Fées – dishes straight out of a storybook.

Occupancy
All arrangements are available for double occupancy only.
Deposit
A deposit of 50% is required upon booking.
Drinks
Unless expressly listed, drinks are not included in the arrangement.

For our set arrangements, special requests can only be accommodated within limits. Where possible, we charge a small supplement.

Up to 4 weeks before arrival: 70% of the total amount
